A number of us have heard hypothetical stories of people who hold low self-esteem, become late for that special job interview, stress so much that they forget to clean their coffee-stained shirt, tense up and stutter at the beginning of each sentence they make during the interview that, as I've stated, they were late for and end up getting that important call back saying "We're sorry but...". Yet how true is all this? Does optimism in the soul lead to a life of enjoyment and reward? Are positive thinkers the people who get the girl/guy they've wanted, earn money like they desired by having a carrier and not just a job, basically live the live they wanted to? Maybe positive thinking is the golden rule to helping in the 'game of life'. Be happy, make other people happy, be hopeful and share the hope. As Eddie Izzard said (and by said I mean in paraphrasing (and by paraphrasing I mean his concept my wording)) Jesus travelled the Earth to say that life is about becoming moral, relaxing a bit and overall being groovy and we twisted all that positivity with with our own negativity; with propaganda, fear and depowerment of freedom. Yet, to think positive doesn't seem like a way of cheating life. Who is to say that a good life is based on misery and not getting what you want, who you want? Why should I and others go through days in a depressive and pessimistic disappointment of what could be? How easy is it to say that living without hope isn't living at all?
Personally, I see myself as having a positive attitude, not the best one but relatively good and I see myself as pretty happy with it all. There are some change I would like, no life is close to perfect no matter how much it shiny against the sun but I feel I can understand what positive thinking is all about.
